Following a recent collaboration with Kafeterija, for which we designed the interior of a new venue in Belgrade, our studio was invited to develop one of the stages for Lovefest—a major music festival held each summer in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia. Beyond stage design, KIDZ also became a technical partner for the festival.

Our team was tasked with creating a unique structure that would convey the spirit and energy of the festival. The visual concept was built around the idea of pixel-like blocks, echoing Lovefest’s signature style. These blocks, positioned at an angle to the ground, create an illusion of motion and dynamism, further emphasized by a gradual shift from larger modules to smaller ones.

Special attention was given to the lighting design: most of the cubes are equipped with LED lighting synchronized to the music beats. Behind the DJs, a media screen in an unconventional shape mirrors the tilted blocks, enhancing the sense of movement. Some surfaces of the stage elements are covered with mirrored panels that reflect the surrounding nature, creating a floating effect and transforming the spatial experience.

Despite its complexity and originality, the stage remains easy to assemble. The cube frames are made of wooden beams, either wrapped in fabric (lightboxes) or covered in mirrored panels, making the stage both functional and visually impactful.

KIDZ  stage hosted performances from notable DJs and musicians, including Laurent Garnier, Ali Güney, Call Super, Danilo Kas, Danilo Plessow, Dejan Milicevic, DJ Deep, DJ Nobu, DOO, Gigi Testa, Hunee, Interstellar Funk, Koboyo, Marko Milosauljevic, Moopie, Nikola Vemic, Nu Genea DJ + Keys, Pangaea, Ron Trent, and Sergej Krstic.
