plan

Gymnasium is an ecosystem of modern sports clubs built around Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Through a unique training methodology, children develop a full range of “soft skills” essential for self-realization through sports.

The project is a collaboration between two brands—Gymnasium and the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) sports club. Its core concept is based on precise spatial zoning with minimalist cubic forms, allowing children to easily navigate and adapt. The entry begins with a concrete portal featuring a glass insert, creating a sense of transition into a special space. Visitors are greeted by three sleek white cubic forms: the reception desk bearing the Gymnasium logo. These simple forms establish an inviting entry zone, setting the stage for an environment where nothing distracts from the focus on sports.

One of Gymnasium’s key areas is the lecture hall, a modern interpretation of a fighter’s ring. This wooden cubic amphitheater provides parents with a serene space to observe training sessions and connect while waiting. Surrounding this central feature are the sports halls: a white tatami mat for children’s classes and a black one for older groups, symbolizing distinction and a tailored aesthetic for each age group.

Additionally, there is a dedicated ballet studio designed in beige-gray tones with a wooden ceiling. These natural colors and materials foster a cultural atmosphere, conveying a sense of balance and tranquility while evoking a connection to nature. Soft, diffused lighting enhances the harmonious environment and supports concentration.

The project pays special attention to details and navigation. The lecture hall is enclosed with gradient film bearing PSG logos, shielding external distractions and helping children remain focused. Above the reception area, light tubes draw attention to the central zone and guide visitors toward the changing rooms, making navigation easier for children.

Each sports zone features unique elements, with the white tatami showcasing the Gymnasium logo and the black tatami featuring PSG branding, highlighting the collaboration and shared mission of the two brands.
