Sinners is a tattoo studio founded by a collective of artists with a powerful creative identity and a bold vision. Their request was as daring as their brand: to create a studio that feels outstanding, a space that isn’t just functional, but also immersive—an experience both for visitors and the tattoo artists themselves.

They sought a space that would reflect the intensity, intimacy, and artistry of tattooing while offering a distinct and futuristic atmosphere.

The conceptual foundation of the studio is deeply rooted in the studio’s name—Sinners—and what it implies: transformation, transgression, and rebirth. We explored the symbolic potential of the tattooing process through a narrative arc that reflects a journey through the afterlife.

The space is divided into three main zones, each representing a stage in this metaphysical cycle: birth, transformation, and reincarnation. This mirrors the tattooing experience itself: arriving with bare skin, undergoing a transformative process, and leaving permanently marked—a new version of oneself.

Visually and spatially, the studio embraces a sci-fi-inspired material palette that speaks to themes of modification and future bodies. Stainless steel and concrete dominate the environment, creating a cool, reflective, almost alien vision.

To soften the experience and ensure comfort during long sessions, wood accents are introduced at the tattoo stations, creating an essential warmth amidst the otherwise industrial palette. Reflective surfaces allow light and visuals from large LED screens to ripple across the space, reinforcing the idea of continuous transformation.

One of the most striking elements is the sculptural, organically shaped central lobby desk. Made of foam coated in automotive plaster and painted in metallic finish, it connects two volumes and becomes the spatial and symbolic heart of the studio.

This form, suspended between function and fiction, represents both the fluidity of ink and the body as a canvas.

Throughout the interior, engraved panels and printed wall graphics continue this metaphor—treating the space itself as skin to be marked, decorated, and transformed.

In terms of technology and construction, several innovative solutions were used. The central organic desk was built from foam, shaped manually, and then coated with materials commonly used in car design to achieve its futuristic finish.

Hand engraving was applied to custom panels, adding tactile uniqueness to the environment.

To optimize resources and integrate lighting seamlessly, traditional lightboxes above the grigliato ceiling were replaced with 600x600 LED panels, ensuring a clean and energy-efficient lighting scheme without sacrificing visual impact.
